About

Dr Sam Cobb received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Warwick in 2019, supervised by Prof. Julie Macpherson, working on diamond as a material for electrochemical sensors. This was followed by  postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge, where he was elected as a Research Fellow of Darwin College (2020 - 2023) and awarded a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship in 2021. This was further supported by an Isaac Newton Trust Fellowship (2021) and an Honorary Research Fellowship at the University of Warwick (2020-2023). In 2024 Sam moved to the University of Manchester to start his independent career as a Lecturer in Electrochemistry, pursuing his passion for electrochemical technologies for sustainable chemical synthesis.
